Fundamentals of Testing Requirements

Add to calendar

Testing and requirements are bound together. You use requirements to understand what to test, and what your customer expects from the product under test. Sometimes, when testing, we find that requirements are missing, inadequate, wrong, or changing. This is normal, and as testers, part of our role is to help the team and the customer clarify what is required. Sometimes we even find as testers that we build the requirements to clarify our tests. Requirements appear in many forms – verbal, diagrams, user stories, formal specifications. Join Isabel to understand how to identify, capture, review and refine requirements, and how to decide which test design techniques to use depending on the requirement format.
