Viewing Software through the Lens of AI

The positive effects of AI are already being realized in many industries, and many of these benefits were not possible just a few years ago. There is, however, a downside of using AI: It can quickly impact our data security, privacy and introduce biases if we do not pay attention to how the AI models are trained. Currently, the working of AI models are a black box, and engineers often do not control or understand how the algorithm forms relationships or makes decisions. We just provide the training data sets, monitor the learning and progress, and the algorithms make predictions on future values based on learning from past examples. How should responsible software engineers approach these kind of AI systems? Raj Subrameyer will discuss how AI based systems work and answer some common questions which includes: What are the key factors to consider when developing and testing these systems? How do you come up with an enterprise-wide strategy? What are some of the tools available for AI-based development and testing? Raj will also provide insights into the skills needed by developers and testers to coexist in the world of AI, as well as highlight the critical factors to consider. Bring your questions and concerns, and Raj will give everyone a basic understanding of developing and testing AI-based systems.
