Testing More Than Code with BDD

Add to calendar

Many teams who pick up behavior-driven development tools like Cucumber use them for running automated tests and think that's all there is to it. But when used as intended, BDD tools can transform the way teams work, shifting your delivery flow up so that you're using example-based techniques to test the requirements before any code is even written. Bringing years of experience teaching BDD practices to teams around the world, Matt Wynne will show you the common problems teams have when they first adopt BDD tools like Cucumber; the benefits of using BDD earlier in your delivery process; a practical, lightweight technique called example mapping for running sessions to test requirements; and who should ideally write scenarios in Gherkin. You'll leave with new ideas to extend your use of BDD.
