STAREAST 2020 Concurrent Session : Making Innovation as a DevOps Core

Wednesday, May 6, 2020 - 11:30am to 12:30pm

Making Innovation as a DevOps Core

For many of us in the DevOps testing world, innovation is a spectator sport. We are invited to listen, watch, and then test the innovations that come from outside of the testing team. When testers innovate, there are few channels to iterate and implement within our daily job duties. In the past twenty years as a testing community, we are rarely recognized for massive innovations. Without that recognition, testers risk the loss of respect and credibility as a technical force. We must innovate now or face "death" to testing as we know it. Stacy will share the importance and urgency of innovation and how she's fostered it within her DevOps teams. She will provide real-world exercises that build the innovation muscle and examples of how to squeeze ideation into teams with limited time or resources. Stacy will discuss how to promote and sell your ideas inside and outside of your organization. Learn how creativity will excite and motivate DevOps teams to deliver higher quality products as well as sharpen their technical skills.
